What is a fractional CTO?

A fractional CTO is the outsourced head of technology for a small business. I'm the person you call before making any technology decision — buying software, hiring a vendor, responding to a security incident, deciding whether AI can help you. Instead of hiring a full-time technology executive, you retain me for a fixed monthly fee.

Who is this for?

Owner-operated businesses with one to ten people. Medical practices, medspas, consultancies, professional service firms, small clinics. Especially strong fit for healthcare-adjacent businesses that need HIPAA-aware technology decisions.

How does vendor coordination work?

You pay the vendors directly. I never mark up vendor costs or take kickbacks. My retainer covers me finding qualified vendors, getting quotes, sitting on the sales calls with you, reading the contracts, and staying involved through delivery.

What's included vs. what costs extra?

The retainer includes unlimited async questions, monthly calls, vendor coordination, security guidance, monthly updates, and quarterly roadmap reviews. Not included: hands-on implementation work (project-priced), website builds, help desk tickets, or after-hours emergency response (unless Priority tier).

Why does every retainer start with a Technology Assessment?

Because I won't advise you on technology I haven't seen. The assessment is how I learn what you actually run, what it costs you, where the risks are, and what should happen next.

What's your refund policy?

If you're not satisfied within the first 30 minutes of your session, I'll refund you in full. After 30 minutes, the session continues as booked.
